Cordius are currently looking for a Customer Service Coordinator to join a market leader in the Aerospace and Military industries based in Whitstable, Kent.


Duties and responsibilities

  • To establish and cultivate solid client relationships in order to provide excellent customer service.
  • Using the available systems and tools, prepare all customer quotations, including direct/resale/export, in accordance with established principles and system requirements.
  • Proactively follow up on quotes and negotiate as necessary.
  • Understand the pricing structures of the marketplace.
  • Communicate with Commercial, Product Group Managers, Procurement, and any other supporting departments in order to determine appropriate pricing and lead times.
  • Order processing within predetermined KPIs.
  • Utilizing the necessary systems/tools and supporting departments to move orders towards shipment.
  • Proactive customer communication throughout the quote and order lifecycle.
  • Review, investigate, and escalate customer concerns proactively where applicable.
  • Understand customer markets and ensure that all market intelligence is communicated to the appropriate contact.
  • Identify new sales prospects and either pursue them or forward them to the appropriate contact.
  • Contact prospective clients and present products and services in order to maximise sales.
  • Upselling and crossselling.
  • Participate in training as necessary to enhance individual and team service offerings.
  • Work to a high quality of customer service, ensuring that each situation is handled quickly, professionally, and efficiently.
  • Aim to process all sales orders on the day they are received, ensuring that a full contract review is conducted, and that the customer is notified of any unavailable items.
  • Work according to the KPIs specified by the line manager.
  • Process and participate in activities in support of the sales and marketing strategy as directed by the line manager.
