A very exciting opportunity to join a well-established global business with their head office in Dudley, West Midlands. My client is currently looking for an experienced Procurement Manager to join their established team. This role is integral to the broaderteam, with a significant opportunity to make a big difference.

Do you have experience as a Procurement Manager?

Salary £50-55k depending on experience.

Day to day responsibilities:


  • Maintain and develop supplier performance in relation to lead time capability
  • Carry out investigations into best practice, supplier audits, review of supplier responsible quality issues
  • Work with design team on new products or transferred products to ensure all required information is available for new parts and that any required tooling / stock orders are placed to give adequate stock for product launch.
  • Update the company's MRP system with supplier details, costs, batch quantities and required safety stocks, monitor this regularly to ensure correct stock management
  • Resolve major quality issues with suppliers including recovery of any relevant costs
  • Write and issue any required policies to ensure the Procurement process meets current legislation
  • Complete sections of tenders that relate to purchasing / procurement
  • Advise sales on stock availability, MOQs and costs of nonstandard items
  • Source products required by sales that are not currently products, (bought in items)
  • Manage stock holding and exploit options to utilise discontinued / slow moving stock
  • Work closely with other departments to minimise delays to client orders caused by supply chain delays or quality issues
  • Review regularly all of the above with purchasing team, Operations and relevant directors of the company.

Specific Skills


Must be MCIPS qualified and have previously worked in a Procurement Management role, have excellent analytical skills and have used MRP systems on a regular basis and be proficient with this software.

You must be able to manage a small team and be proactiveand a self-starter.


Education and Experience
Must be MCIPS qualified and have knowledge with MRP systems.
