A main contractor is recruiting a Planner for a long-term coastal defence project in East Sussex for the Environment Agency.

The business is a tier one contractor who are delivering projects upwards of £100m across the South Coast specialising in sea defences,creating wetland habitats, dry docks, river and weir repairs and many more marine focused projects as well as one off larger schemes on the likes of High Speed 2 and Thames Tideway.


The team need an experienced Senior Planner who can 'hit the ground running' and is already proficient with P6 Primavera.

The role will be more favourable to someone with a technical background who has progressed from a Site Engineer or Manager into planning,ideally with a main contractor.


Planner Duties include:

  • Create and amend programmes using P
  • Identifying major restrictions and contract requirements
  • Work with preconstruction and delivery team to agree construction methodology
  • Assist with producing tender programme for additional works
  • Work with the commercial team to identify and raise EWN and CE's (NEC Contracts)
  • Throughout construction work closely with the operations team to ensure the programme is maintained, updated and in accordance with the planned works
