About the Team:


The WaterAid Innovation Lab - Income has a bold and ambitious remit to revolutionise income generation and generate scalable business models for the charity.

We're seeking to challenge ourselves and others - changing the way we work to raise income and drive entrepreneurial approaches.

We need to be relentless and brave. Determined to get there first.

The Innovation Lab - Income is housed in the Performance, Insight and Innovation Department in the Fundraising and Communications Directorate.


About the Role:


As our ingenious and decisive Creator you will go to for the Explorer and Challenger roles to deliver end to end Innovation.

You will be the master of the experiments ensuring that activity across the pipeline is tested and validated in the best way for the product, WaterAid and the end target audience.

In this role, you will have experience in running rapid test and iterate approach to income product development and skilled at designing and developing the best tools for the job.


You'll also:


  • Work with Challenger role in the Innovation Lab
  • Income to deliver the disruption pipeline. Within this, the Creator role will manage a spectrum of New Product Development (NPD) from end to end.
  • Works with Explorer role in the Innovation lab
  • Income to test and validate new business models working with external agencies and internal stakeholders as appropriate.
  • Lead on developing Innovation Methodology playbooks for use within the Innovation Lab
  • Income and beyond, securing support from internal and external networks to develop a best in class WaterAid relevant resource.

About You:


  • Application evidence of Innovation methodologies and theory e

g:
Design Thinking, Agile, Lean, Sprint, UX and CX mapping

  • Practitioner experience in running tests and experiments to validate ideas in the pipeline understanding and experience in prototyping
  • Experience in creation and selection of facilitation methodologies to drive innovation and new product development across a range of settings and scenarios
  • Reporting and monitoring evidence to ensure team KPIs are tracked and reported on a regular basis, making the most of data and analytics, coordinating inputs and facilitating pipeline delivery

Although not essential, we also prefer you to have:

  • Understanding of WASH and / or the international development sector
  • Understanding of the traditional fundraising market place
