We are looking for administration team leaders to help grow our business and provide an excellent service for all patients, consultants and staff.

Guided by the core values of the Royal Free, the administration team leader will work with their team, and other junior and senior leaders across PPU and the Trust, to ensure our patients have a seamless and personalised experience throughout their journey.

The Royal Free Private Patients Unit is a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment. Our mission is to generate income for the Trust and the NHS.

The PPU administration team leader is vital for this - facilitating and supporting the uptake and retention of RF private healthcare services via the direct day to day supervision of all of the private patients unit administration teams, facilities and resources at the Royal Free site.

The post-holder will report to the PPU Assistant Service Manager (ASM) and accountable to the Senior Operations Manager (SOM).

They will be responsible for the performance of their administration teams across the different private patients facilities and functions at the Royal Free and Hadley Wood site.

The PPU administration team leader will be expected to act as the initial point of reference, guidance, support and management for the administration team; for:

  • Team planning, administration and rota scheduling
  • Query resolution
  • Policy, procedure and process guidance with regard to all aspects of administration and end to end processes
  • Data entry, data quality, bookings and all other procedural, functional and technical queries on Compucare, Cerner, CRIS, IRRIS, PACS etc (not an exhaustive list)
  • Liaison with the finance team re daily financial transactions, cash handling, billing, invoicing and banking
  • Liaison with the Embassy Business Development and Administration team re daily interpreter and financial cover (LOGs) needs
  • Capacity and demand planning, scheduling and allocation for activity and performance
  • MaST, job training and retraining compliance requirements as well as all personal development plan needs
  • Administrative clinical and information governance compliance queries
  • Line management of administrative team including appraisal, rotaing and absence management
