And right now, we are looking for a Business Analyst to join us as part of a large scale transformationproject at an exciting time in Saga's history.


You will be responsible for providing business analysis across the business and provide a more detailed understanding of business processes and the impact of the change.

This includes capturing, validating, documenting, and obtaining sign off on businessrequirements for changes raised across the Insurance division.

The key strategic nature of many of the projects and changes that you will manage provide the opportunity to work with a variety of people and teams and regularly involves interaction with seniormanagement.

Main Responsibilities:


  • Analysing business data to identify trends and opportunities as part of continuous improvement
  • Facilitating effective workshops and meetings drawing out requirements and solutions
  • Business process engineering with efficiency and lean disciplines for approved change
  • Reporting and tracking progress across assigned projects, identifying and escalating any blockers hindering progress where necessary
  • Being business solution focused, evaluating multiple options before helping the project team settle on a solution, recommending ways to tackle a task where relevant
  • Identifying system and operational process gaps, proactively raising these to the relevant department and support in the creation of their change requests
  • Maintaining knowledge of the project and change lifecycles
  • Gaining an extensive knowledge of systems, operations, and people across the business
  • Ensuring swift progress across multiple concurrent projects though organisation and time management skills, whilst being able to adapt quickly to changing priorities and workloads.
  • Demonstrating and maintaining a logical approach to problem solving
  • Being able to work under my own initiative with a brief understanding of the task required, working out a plan of who to speak to and the best way to gather the required information.
  • Supporting Project Managers and Scrum Teams within Change where additional analysis is required
  • Continually learning and sharing lessons with my peer group
  • Effectively manage stakeholder expectations around scope and delivery
  • Liaising with other departments, representing the Change Management Team
  • Building strong relationships with all levels of personnel to complete tasks.
  • Ensuring actions, risks, issues, and decisions are logged against appropriate change items
  • Experience within the financial services or insurance industry is desirable
  • Proven experience of in gathering and documenting requirements
  • Proven experience of process modelling
  • Relevant Industry or Business Analysis qualifications (e.g. BCS, IF1/2, CII)
