Applications are invited for research fellowships within the colorectal department at the Liverpool University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, University of Liverpool.

In addition the successful applicants will be expected to participate on the general surgical on call registrar rota at the Royal Liverpool University Hospital.

The applicants would be expected to undertake their research in collaboration with University of Liverpool looking into early diagnosis of recurrence of rectal cancer following neo-adjuvant chemo-radiotherapy using novel techniques.

In addition to research, there will be a commitment to the general surgical on call rota at specialist registrar level at the Royal Liverpool University Hospital and limited service requirements related to the clinical area of research.
