Goldhill Alternative Provision
Do you have experience working with young people who are not able to attend mainstream school and have a background with behavioural challenges?
The children you will support will have a variety of needs which can include significant complex SEMH, ADHD, ASD and behavioural challenges.
Behaviour Mentor requirements:
- Experience of working with young people with Autism, ADHD, sensory processing difficulties and learning difficulties.
- Experience with SEMH, Trauma, Sensory processing, social communication
- Youth worker, behaviour mentor or playwork experience
- Ability to build strong and meaningful relationships
- A passion for working with SEND is essential
- A passion for being creative
- Ability to plan, adapt and improvise quickly
- Able to deescalate possible conflict and challenging situations
- Ability and willingness to undertake professional development.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Empathy with children and young people.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Job Types:
Part-time, Zero hours contract
Contract length: 12 months
Part-time hours: 25 per week
Salary:
£10.00 per hour
