Join us as a Specialist Portfolio Management Associate Director, Europe

  • In this prominent role, you'll work with stakeholders to build customer relationships and deliver bestinmarket customer experiences
  • You'll provide effective risk and portfolio management to a complex set of customers, where you'll be responsible for Leveraged Finance and Project Finance clients based in Europe
  • Project Finance will cover a variety of hybrid projects including greenfield and brownfield across our Infrastructure, Renewables, Telecoms, and Biomass sectors
  • This is a hybrid working role and depending on your experience, you'll be rewarded with a salary of £74,040 £111,060 along with our excellent benefits package

What you'll do:


You'll be adding real value to the client agenda by being part of the frontline client team, delivering credit stewardship of debt solutions.

You'll assume prime responsibility for non-origination activities and actively manage the overall sector portfolio, considering risks, capital allocation and other commercial factors.


Other duties will include:

  • Performing bestinclass credit stewardship, transaction execution and customer service
  • Driving delivery of financial metrics while minimising incidences of bad debts
  • Acting as a mentor and coach to more junior team members by sharing best practice and providing relevant coaching
  • Identifying and managing risks including proactive management of problem loans, data quality and portfolio reporting
  • Maintaining strong working relationships with key stakeholders to ensure seamless customer experience

The skills you'll need:

You'll already have broad experience of the banking industry including in a regulatory and commercial environment. You'll need a working knowledge of relevant legal policies, regulatory and statutory obligations and risk management.


We'll also want to see:

  • Experience of analysing complex financial information and the ability to identify appropriate solutions
  • Good credit skills suitable for stewardship of SPM customer exposures with complex structures
  • Good financial modelling capabilities
  • A strong internal and external stakeholder network with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
