What to expect:

Being responsible for the development of new product, evolution of old product, and collaborating with the production, sales and marketing team is a pivotal role within the company.

A greater understanding of business, user and market need is key to the evolvement of our product family and brand.

Our offices space in Semley, Dorset, is based on a small industrial estate in the middle of the countryside. As the HQ of our parent-company Gilo Industries, you will be working alongside projects such as the rotary powered Crighton superbike
(a track bike with MotoGP performance), the Mako Jetboard (a motorised surfboard), machine shop and aviation engine-development specialist Rotron.


Key Responsibilities:

• Design and evolution of new and existing product.
• An emphasis on leading mechanical, structural and DFM areas of projects.
• Welldisciplined CAD Design and Drawing pack creation.
• Design for manufacture with supply chain set up and firststage management.
• Project management with a pragmatic approach to timelines and budgets.
• Ideation and product concepting driven by business and market requirements.
• Working with marketing team to ensure product DNA is well represented.
• Reports directly to design director.

Desired skills and attributes:


Education:

Management Skills:

• 2:1 or higher in a relevant Throrough approach to projects undergraduate course such as: with ability to deliver on time and
• Mechanical Engineering (Eng) budget
• Product Design Engineering (Eng)
• Ability to plan with a strong
• Product Design (BSC) understanding of business and
• Industrial Design (BA) ( with strong market requirements technical ability)
