£650/Day

Initial 6-Month Contract

Southwark, London

Akton Resourcing are looking for an experienced Programme Manager to deliver a Future of Work Programme for the Southwark Council.

Key workstreams will include:

Developing and embedding new values
Designing new work styles, which we will use to articulate how people in different role types are expected to work, and then tailor the tools and support we provide to help employees do their job
Deducing the use of agency workers and building a stable, highlyskilled permanent workforce
Fostering a strong, positive culture of learning and innovation

The role
The purpose of this role is to programme manage and provide day-to-day leadership to the "future of work" programme.

Reporting to the Director of People and Organisational Development, the programme manager will:

- develop and secure agreement to the programme scope
- collaborate with colleagues across the council to ensure there are robust arrangements in place to deliver the programme
- communicate goals and progress to stakeholders and the wider workforce
- establish and manage the governance and reporting arrangements required to support successful programme delivery
- proactively identify and address emerging issues and risks
- play a hands on role in delivering quick wins while the programme scope is being developed

Experience and skills

We are looking for someone with:

excellent programme management skills

- excellent communication skills
- previous experience of leading change within a local authority
- previous experience of designing and delivering similar programmes
