About the Role:

We have opened a brand-new position for an ambitious individual to lead LM's customer-facing engineering services.

The Lead Engineer will work alongside the Sales and R&D departments, taking overall responsibility for driving and delivering the customerproduct and service roadmaps.

The role is office-based at LM's headquarters in Canary Wharf, London.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Deliver customer projects from the initial concept phase through to production.
  • Provide dedicated engineering services, utilising expertise in Bluetooth and WiFi.
  • Design and develop electronic hardware for modules, adaptors and other products.
  • Partner with the Head of R&D for delivery of the company's strategic product roadmap.
  • RF PCB design including, routing, layout, assemble and stackup.
  • Maintain/update existing code repositories.
  • Add new features to new and existing products based on (but not limited to) Qualcomm, Realtek and Infineon chipsets using Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.
  • Product testing and test report generation
  • Attend trade shows, conferences, and other networking/marketing events.
  • Regular domestic and international travel is required in this role, sometimes at short notice.
  • A track record of delivering commercially viable firmware and hardware projects.
  • Thorough technical knowledge of Wi-Fi.
  • Ability to independently research and selflearn other emerging wireless technologies.
  • Knowledge and experience with designing, developing and maintaining a module or adapter product portfolio.
  • Thorough understanding of the technical documentation related to product certification.
  • Embedded C experience is a must.

Desirable Skills:


  • Working in a Linux environment.
  • Embedded C++ experience.
  • Solidworks (or equivalent) 3D CAD modelling
