General Reinsurance, London Branch currently offers a 12 month fixed term contract opportunity for an Actuarial Intern in our London Life Health Team.

This position will support the Actuarial and Finance Departments with day to day operations.

The Internship will provide exposure to a broad range of tasks, including running quotations for group risk business, collating and structuring various data to enable efficient analysis, developing and / or running various premium checking tools, rate production for reinsurance quotations, and other tasks for the Pricing and other functional areas.

Key responsibilities:

Group quotations
Data collation and analysis
Premium Checking

Experience/Qualifications:

Applicants should be studying towards a degree in Actuarial Science with successful exam progression.

Requirements:

A conscientious approach and a focus on detail will be required.
Good problem solving skills.
Good IT skills, especially in Excel and R
Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to work effectively as part of a team
Ability to work with minimum supervision
Ability to prioritise, while remaining flexible to deal with changing work demands.
