The team handles claims on behalf of all this broker's clients across the whole of the North West, and you will be welcome to be based (in a hybrid : remote capacity) from any one of a number of regional offices (or several, if preferred).

This role is client-facing and you will visit clients (typically accompanying Account Executives and Directors) at their premises or site of claim for any number of reasons such as to help prepare renewal reports, talk through the broker's claims offering to prospective clients at tender or, of course, in the event of a loss.

You will be dealing with clients from a wide variety of industry sectors such as Construction, Logistics & Distribution, Manufacturing and Engineering, and accordingly, you'll see a very interesting range of losses.

As this broker already has a specialist Loss Adjusting team to deal with Property cases, we are looking for someone who majors in Employers' or Public Liability / Casualty claims, who can help to guide clients through sizeable losses.

As such, it is likely that you will come from either an insurance company, loss adjusting or legal environment, ideally with experience of handling Liability claims up to the value of £100K.

In addition to handling Liability claims in this role, you will also gain exposure to other types of interesting claims, where you will be supported by in-house specialists, until such time that you are fully competent with these lines.

You must have excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), be an excellent negotiator, and pride yourself on your ability to build rapport with both internal and external stakeholders from all walks of life (including senior personnel at £100M+ turnover companies).

You must also be naturally curious, with excellent attention to detail, and superb problem-solving skills to ensure you can obtain your clients the best possible settlement terms.
