Techniche are supporting a leading automotive manufacturer to appoint a Test Management Project Engineer for their site in Cranfield.

You will be responsible for leading coordination and delivery of all testing activities and reporting to support and deliver R&D projects to market.


Location:
Cranfield, Bedfordshire


Hours:
Mon-Thurs 8am-5pm, Fri 8am-1.20pm

Type:
Hybrid working typically 3 days/week on site

Rate:
£24.97/hour PAYE plus £3.75/hr holiday and £0.75 pension
accrual (Salary equivalent £50,639)

Techniche Agency Umbrella
Rate:
£33.26/hr

Duration: 12 month+ Contract with prospects for further extension.


Responsibilities:


  • Coordination of multiple large and/or small projects as requested by the Test Management Groups Senior Engineer to ensure they are delivered to the project schedule including, arranging feedback hearings, interrogating data and summarizing project proposals
  • Work closely with all areas of R&D to plan, prepare and manage delivery and reporting of testing of projects
  • Prepare and issue the necessary documentation to the business according to the project schedules
  • Analysis and presentation of testing status and concerns utilising proprietary systems to Milestone Meetings and Chief Vehicle Engineer
  • Where appropriate, propose and support with knowledge sharing and process improvement activities within the Department
  • Management of own workload to defined deadlines in efficient manner

Skills Required:

  • Qualifications and demonstrable experience of Project Support in a similar industry (approximately 3 years) is desirable
  • In depth knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 with particular emphasis on Excel, Powerpoint, Project, Outlook, Sharepoint and Word
  • Experience of Project management, data analysis and logical electronic file management and storage.
