Tuesday - Friday

Wolverhampton

£40,000 - £50,000
- _4 Nights a week_
- _6pm - 6am_
- _Unlimited overtime paid at time and a half_

HGV Mechanic:


  • We currently have a number of exciting opportunities for experienced Vehicle Technicians for a long standing and wellrespected commercial vehicle dealer in the Wolverhampton area. Our clientis constantly expanding and specialise in DAF and Renault service and repairs.

The job:
HGV Technician / Commercial Vehicle Technician

  • It's essential for this role that you are a qualified HGV Technician, or have experience to be considered for this position. _
- _We are currently recruiting for HGV Technicians to join the team. This position requires you to carry out all aspects of maintenance, including servicing, inspection, repairs, MOT preparation, breakdowns, diagnosis and any other workshop related taskthat could be reasonably expected_
- _Servicing and repair of equipment to MOT standard._
- _A high level of understanding of Legal Compliance and standards of Roadworthiness._
- _Ensure workshop tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner to the required standard._

  • Conducting inspections, repairs, preventive maintenance and MOT's on a range of vehicles.
- _Ability to work unsupervised with a high level of self-motivation._
- _Awareness of authorisation procedures regarding required repairs._
- _Completion of inspection documents and job sheets/timesheets to the highest standard._
- _Strong commitment to health and safety._
- _Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate with customers and employees of all levels is essential, as are a 'can do attitude' and problem-solving skills._


Experience required:


  • Have experience of servicing and repair of equipment to MOT standard
  • Have a clear understanding of Legal Compliance and standards of Roadworthiness
  • Be a qualified Commercial Vehicle Technician, preferably level
  • Have experience of previous work for a main dealer
  • A HGV license would be an advantage.
  • Experience in similar industry preferred
