We have an exciting opportunity for a Site Agent to join our VolkerStevin team working on Civil engineering schemes in the Kent/South London Area.

The Site Agent is responsible for the delivery of the construction-phase of the LR Debris Scheme project. The Site Agent will provide direction to the site teams in order to ensure the successful delivery of projects.


Key accountabilities:


General managemnet of the contract including but not limited to project cost control, finacial forecast, planning/programme managment and contract admin via FastDraft, reporting to PM (SB) notifiying any key changes or risk's and flagging any key meetings that require Snr VS attendance.


Client facing providing clear comunications and highlighting and Scope gaps and project risk inline with the contract requirments and CDF behavous.

Specific ESE roles undertaken for LR Debris Screens to meet current instructed delivables which require coordination and exicution of.

  • Detailed year 1 programme and whole life programme development with VS planner and EA PM
  • Attendance of progress meetings with VS updates and active input
  • Provide input/support for the concept design stage of the LR Debris Screen replacements for seven screens including
  • Provide advice on EA programme and flag key areas of risk for delay and key milestones (GI delivery and contract process)

Specific ESE roles undertaken for HR Debris Screens to meet current instructed delivables and exicution of.

  • Produce Whole Life Programme and initial construction Programme for the High Risk Screens ECC contract with VS planner
  • Review design and provide advice
  • Review and assist in the development of ECC Scope including supporting documentation
  • Attend and chair monthly Progress meetings (Circulation of meeting minutes)
  • Production of traffic, pedestrian, and logistics planning advice
  • Assess build methodology and produce document
  • Provide cost input and buildability advice for the 5 HR sites
  • Determine Temporary Works requirements include within methodology/logistics plan
  • Advise of consenting or permitting requirements
  • Identify and advise of any item or issue VS become aware of that may be required or cause delay
  • VS Pricing
  • Production of detailed compound areas
  • Initial communications with authority


Under the High Risk screens there will be a CE for early upfront desktop mobilsation to included but not limited to the production on CPP/SMP, RAMS, procurment schedule, subcontractor finalsation (including pricing packages) and prodcution of draft subcontrator contracts ready for award following ECC contract signing.


Skills & experience:


  • ECI (Early Contract Involvement) Experience
  • An organised individual that can work in a team but also has tenacity to help drive the project
  • Environmental agency experience
