The Role


To deliver robust quality claims handling, with a key focus on customer outcomes for Minster Law clients, to generate fee income and contribute to the general success of the business.

The successful applicant will manage a caseload of RTA MOJ Portal cases, predominantly for bikers.

Team allocation will be determined by business need and your current experience, knowledge and skill set. Types of cases managed may vary from time to time a which may include both bike and car customers.


Core Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for a highvolume caseload of RTA MOJ Portal claims, following the MOJ process and best practise, in order to progress your claims from inception through to settlement.
  • Ownership of the client relationship ensuring that the right outcome is achieved, and the client's claim is optimised.
  • Ability to deal with complex multisite injuries cases
  • Assess quantum to include reviewing medical reports and researching and obtaining relevant case law.
  • Drafting schedules of special damages and assessing suitable awards for compensation for pain, suffering and loss of amenity, and other general damages.
  • Negotiate with third parties to ensure we receive the best settlement figure for each of our clients in a proactive and timely manner, identify litigation opportunities where appropriate.
  • Ability to work with a taskbased case management system to ensure regular contact is maintained with all clients, providing exceptional customer service and managing their expectations.
  • Perform to a high level in a target orientated environment.
  • Ability to run a litigated case under Part 8B of the Civil Procedure Rules.

Person Specification
Essential

  • Previous experience of managing your own caseload of Fast Track RTA Claims up to the value of £25,000.
  • A working knowledge of the preaction protocol for low value personal injury claims in road traffic accidents and Part 8B of the Civil Procedure Rules.
  • Accountable for achieving objectives in a fastpaced environment whilst maintaining high standards of work quality and client care.
  • Excellent negotiator with strong communication skills.
  • Competent working with a case management system and good knowledge of Excel and Word.
  • Good attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Customer centric approach.
Desirable

  • Robust able to deal with changing circumstances and challenging situations whilst still achieving objectives.
  • Previous experience of managing caseload of Bike/Bicycle claims
