We are currently looking for a Warehouse Section Leader (DAYS)


To lead, coach and mentor your team to deliver customer daily orders, to a high standard and in the most cost-effective manner whilst ensuring customer specifications and compliance with our site health and safety obligations are adhered to.

To work in collaboration and cross functionally across all Operations through the Supply Chain and departments.


On a daily basis you will be:

  • Act as a Role model and ensure all company requirements with regards to the safety, quality and legality of the product are adhered to.
  • To lead the team to deliver a quality and customer focused efficient packing operation on a daytoday basis.
  • Responsible for delivering of KPI's and working within budgetary controls.
  • Responsib for the completion of all training for MM Flowers employees and Agency workers to encourage and deliver a high standard of compliance within all operational areas. Support with the development of Standard Operating Procedures bespoke to your operational areas and comply with the process flows for training.
  • Lead MM Employees daily and address employee relations working in collaboration with HR including conducting disciplinary meetings, absence meetings and supporting all other reasonable employee requests.
  • Responsible for any recruitment within the department and new starter induction plans working alongside Line Management.
  • Cover the Production Management team where necessary.
  • Attend and lead daily meetings, reporting any areas of concern and recommendations for improvement and root cause analysis.
  • Deliver and maintain the required hygiene (clean as you go) and safety standards within the company across all operational areas, providing training to Operatives and other team members as required.
  • To motivate and develop the team to consistently achieve and maintain key performance indicators daily providing feedback when required.
  • Demonstrate your understanding of the Human Resource Policies and Procedures in situations where applicable, taking the lead in resolutions. These include; Appraisal Training, Managing Agency Staff, Absence Management, Probation Training, Investigation & Disciplinary Training, Recruitment Training, Performance Management Training and Equality & Diversity Training.
  • Undertake Company Induction & associated training (Food Safety Level 2, Health & Safety)
  • Complete ILM Training, to utilise developed skills around Influencing Others, Assertion, Decision Making, Coaching Skills and Problem Solving.
  • Attend the 09:00am Meeting and, where required, present KPI updates to the MM Flowers Management team who attend.
  • Place Orders for agency staff in a timely fashion, where required, ensuring detail is correct and that line/cost efficiency is at the forefront of numbers.
  • Approve Labour Hours, ensuring understanding and raising any anomalies with either the Labour Provider or the MMF Finance Team.

Production

  • On an hourly basis, ensure adherence to the production schedule, raising any issues as necessary.
  • Liaise with the Technical & Quality teams ensuring all customer specifications are met.
  • Record and notify any additional costs of work against the agreed process with the Managers.
  • Accurately record any waste from the lines.
  • Accurately record counts for returned products to Intake.
  • To operate and manage the Enterprise Resource Planning System (Rubicon) as required for the production process, ensuring sign off against all required procedures and SOPs.
  • To lead the production team in delivering a quality focused and efficient packing operation daily.
  • Carry out line balancing exercises against product flow and work rates, making and communicating necessary changes.
