Description

Would you describe yourself as being technical savvy with good communication skills?
If so, we would love you to join our friendly and welcoming school as an ICT apprentice.


On a day to day basis you will provide technical support to students and staff ensuring the ICT equipment and facilities are in excellent working order to ensure a good quality learning experience within the school.


You will work to diagnose and support first line issues as well as working on bigger projects as directed by the ICT Network Manager.


On a day to day basis you will:

Update, supply, install, maintain, diagnose faults and repair the school's ICT hardware and software including the schools website, VLE, interactive whiteboards, multimedia projectors, video conferencing, sound systems, and all other similar or replacement equipment, etc.

In addition, other duties will include general ICT administration and asset management inventories.

Entry requirements

Minimum of 4 X GCSEs grades 9-4 (A-C) including English and Mathematics

Training to be provided

Information Communications Technician Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard:

You will be required to demonstrate through the standard that you meet all competencies and behaviours, which will lead to the achievement of the qualification.


You will have a designated mentor in the workplace to support your learning and at the end of programme will be assessed via an external assessment body.

This is a Level 3 qualification.

Things to consider

Some flexibility will be required which will include some very occasional evening and weekend work.

A DBS will be carried out for this role.
