Wokingham Borough Council has joined the Social Care Future (SCF) movement, a growing community commitment to bring about major positive change to adult social care.

To support Wokingham on its journey with SCF, they're looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Co-Production and Engagement Officer to join their proactive and multi-award nominated Adult Social Care team.
As the Co-Production and Engagement Officer, you will help to ensure people who draw on adult social care in Wokingham, their families and support systems are fully engaged in the design, delivery, and evaluation of Adult Social Care Services.
This role will also be pivotal in creating opportunities for people who draw on adult social care, to influence the provision of universal and community services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead on the development and delivery of an agreed Coproduction Strategy and embed a culture of coproduction across Adult Social Care and wider Council.
- Manage the implementation of objectives and outcomes set by the Co-Production Network.
- Develop new and creative coproductive ways of working. Facilitating coproduction within the development and implementation of a suite of key strategies.
- Involve people with lived experience and families in the delivery of key ASC transformation projects and in the commissioning of key services.
- Enhance awareness and develop skills across Adult Services, providing training, tools, techniques, and support for coproduction for both senior managers and frontline staff.
- Provide training and support to people who draw on adult social care and their families, to enable them to develop the skills to contribute to coproduction meaningfully and actively.
- A genuine interest in making a difference and delivering change with people.
- An ability to build strong, trusting, and effective relationships.
- An ability to actively listen to people receiving and delivering services and approach situations with empathy and understanding.
- An awareness of access needs, and ability to work in a way that ensures everyone is included and understands.
- An ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships to achieve consensus and action.
- An ability to negotiate, persuade and influence at all levels.
