An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Administrative Co-ordinator to work within the Nottingham Emergency General Surgery Service on the Surgical Triage Unit and C31.

This role is central to ensuring that all elements of administration run smoothly for our areas - from the front door greeting our patients receive to providing the data necessary regarding discharges.

This role will provide administrative support for the Surgical Triage Unit (STU) and C31 including:

Day to day management of the reception team, supporting the Ward Managers in all aspects of people management and rota co-ordination.


Co-ordination and evaluation of all the administrative processes on STU and C31, to ensure that the administrative processes effectively support clinical services.


Provide comprehensive administrative and secretarial service to the nursing staff within the ward area, to include monitoring and ordering of stationary.

Provide administrative support and timely workforce & education information related to the nursing service as required by ward sister/charge nurse

To provide personal assistant support for senior members of the team/ ward manager.

To coordinate appointments for SAMS (Surgical Ambulatory Service )

Provide comprehensive administrative and secretarial service to the nursing staff within the ward area, to include monitoring quality and audit activity, data entry on STU and C31


The post holder will also support the provision of a high quality data collection and administrative service to the wider Nottingham Emergency Surgery Service as required by the Ward Managers.
