About us

We are looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable person to join our planning team as a Senior Planner in Conservation and Design.

The Vale of Glamorgan offers an exciting variety of planning and heritage work, in a rich and diverse area that boasts beautiful coast and countryside, and a significant range of urban and rural historic assets.

About the role

Pay Details:
Grade 9 - £37,261 - £41,496 Hours of Work /

Working Pattern:
UP TO 37 hours per week Main Place of Work: Dock Office/Hybrid Working

About you

You will need:

Working knowledge of the planning system.
Knowledge of historic buildings, conservation and urban design issues.
Excellent communication skills.
Excellent negotiation skills.
Ability to work to agreed deadlines and under pressure.
Good organisational skills.
Ability to deal with a wide and varied workload relating to historic buildings, conservation areas and issues of urban design.
Educated to degree level in a relevant discipline.
A commitment to high levels of customer service.
Ability to work as part of a team.
Commitment to good quality outcomes from the development control process.
Ability to deal with people in potentially difficult circumstances
Ability to drive/travel throughout the Vale or between locations as appropriate.
Computer literate and able to use a pc for letters and reports.
