Job Objective
As Continuous Improvement Lead, are you responsible for taking ownership of continuous improvement activities for the company. You will coordinate and lead that deliver performance improvements aligned to targets for quality, cost and line efficiency.

The role is very much 'hands on' in supporting departments to deliver process improvements 'with' and 'for' them.


Summary of Responsibilities

Personal Responsibilities

  • To maintain and adhere to all company standards, policies and procedures, and conduct themselves in line with the company values and code of conduct.
  • To maintain and support the Senior Management Team, Operational Management team, and other departments within the business through excellent relations and communication methods.

Main Challenges

  • Working with a diverse portfolio of internal stakeholders
  • Handover of improvement skills and knowledge to operational teams and area management
  • Empowerment of teams to become "selfsufficient" in continuous improvement tools and methods

Responsibilities:


  • Process and product analysis within the whole value stream to inform resolution for recurring issues related to quality, productivity, and design optimisations.
  • Act as an internal consultant for problem solving across multiple functions and to help embed the any identified changes and/or solutions.
  • Root cause analysis on recurring quality issues and customer NCRs.
  • Designing, training & implementing of Lean initiatives throughout the value stream. This would comprise of preevent analysis using Lean toolbox such as VSM followed by visual and factbased root cause analysis.
  • Working closely with Research and Development department to act as the main intermediary for effective transition of new product/process development into manufacturing
  • Measure and report on projects implemented, including cost reductions/savings made
  • Variation analysis to aid product & process reengineering, using tools such as variable search, DFMA, SPC, FMEA, etc.
  • The role will require travel to and from all UK sites, and Romania.
  • To carry out any additional work as reasonably requested by your line manager.

Experience, Qualifications & Competencies

Job Skill Set

  • Exceptional lateral thinking and analytical skills
  • Excellent working knowledge of continuous improvement toolkit such as VSM, DMAIC, OEE, Poka Yoke, Gemba Kanri, PDCA, etc.
  • Competent in Microsoft office Suite and project management methodologies

Experience

  • Proven experience of use of modern manufacturing & operational management tools

Education and Qualifications

  • Engineering Graduate
  • Six Sigma Black Belt
