Remuneration and Package

Position Summary

Due to an internal promotion within the UK HR Team, an exciting opportunity has become available for a HR Assistant (HRA) on a fixed term basis for 6 months.

The HRA will be responsible for supporting our HR Advisors and Heads of HR and their respective business units, providing a comprehensive and professional HR service to the business.

The HRA will work collaboratively with our centres of excellence (Reward, Resourcing, Talent and Learning) to support the delivery of the HR people strategy and projects.

Job Description
Some of the key responsibilities for this role include:

  • Support and coach line managers on various people matters
  • Work in close collaboration with the HR team and Resourcing to coordinate recruitment ensuring all vacancies are managed effectively from onboarding to offboarding
  • Support the HR Advisors with administrative tasks associated with employee relations working in close collaboration with their peer HR Assistant where required
  • Deputise at meetings for HR Advisors
  • Support HR Advisors and Heads of HR with HR policy development and administration
  • Ensure all data required for payroll is processed accurately and on time, working closely with Payroll / Reward and line managers
  • Support line manager and colleagues with employee recognition queries and championing this as an approach
  • Act as 1st point of contact for all Modern Family Leave, maternity/paternity, and Parental leave requests, managing each case
  • Provide administrative support to our Diversity and Inclusion Manager with the delivery of the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion strategy across the business.
  • Undertake Employee Central administration (new hires, leavers, org chart maintenance), manage reporting requirements and coach managers to access and get the most from their data.
Skills and Experience


To take on the challenge of this role you will be educated to degree level within HR or a related field.

You will have up to date knowledge of employment law with previous experience commensurate to this level of role within a busy HR department.

Ideally you will have or be working towards CIPD or Certificate in Personnel Practice. You will have the confidence and gravitas to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders cross functionally with the ability to plan and prioritise short
- and longer-term workload. You will be IT literate with strong experience of utilising HR technology.
