We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and experienced planning professional to lead the Planning Policy Team under the direction of the Strategic and Local Planning Manager.


The person appointed will take a lead role in preparing, implementing, and updating planning policy for Harborough District and for developing a close working relationship with partners.

The post holder will also be responsible for leading other policy work including the production of monitoring information, commenting on, and interpreting national and local policy.


You will need to possess a sound working knowledge of planning legislation and government policy and guidance, good written and oral communication skills, be a good team player and able to lead a team and work on one's own initiative.

You should possess a degree in planning or a related discipline and extensive experience in planning. A management qualification is also desirable.
