Hoop Professional Services are working with a well-established, forward thinking manufacturing organsiation who have developed an exceptionat company culture which focusus on employee satiusfaction and collaboration.

The role is a vital hire for the team and will provide essential information to the management team and wider business.

They are looking for someone with a cost accounting backround but also has an understanding of financial accounts to assist the team incaseof sickness or absence within the senior management team.

Responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing line profitability
  • Identify and investigate purchase price and material use variances.
  • Analyse organisational data to assess labour rates, overheads etc and recommend costing policies
  • Perform month end cost accounting close
  • Produce inventory valuation reports and analysis and validate inventory valuations
  • Contribute to monthly and quarterly reports
  • Review company accounting policies (stock valuations, slow moving stock provisions, warranty provisions, depreciation methods etc)
  • Support with the preparation of annual budgets
  • Report on performance against budget
  • Challenge and identify opportunities for process improvement
  • Assist with ad hoc finance tasks

Person specification:

  • ACCA/ACA/CIMA qualified or part qualified
  • Good system, IT and Excel knowledge including PowerBI
  • A background in high product volume manufacturing
  • Sound experience analysing P&L and costings
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work well in a team
