The role is a vital hire for the team and will provide essential information to the management team and wider business.

They are looking for someone with a cost accounting backround but also has an understanding of financial accounts to assist the team incaseof sickness or absence within the senior management team.

Responsibilities include:

Reviewing line profitability
Identify and investigate purchase price and material use variances.
Analyse organisational data to assess labour rates, overheads etc and recommend costing policies
Perform month end cost accounting close
Produce inventory valuation reports and analysis and validate inventory valuations
Contribute to monthly and quarterly reports
Review company accounting policies (stock valuations, slow moving stock provisions, warranty provisions, depreciation methods etc)
Support with the preparation of annual budgets
Report on performance against budget
Challenge and identify opportunities for process improvement
Assist with ad hoc finance tasks
