What
As the Recycling & Waste Management Consultant, you will be able to demonstrate a broader understanding of different types of waste streams, experience of working across a range of sites eg education, commercial real estate, healthcare.
You will support the business to deliver exceptional FM consultancy and benchmarking through the planning, executing, monitoring, controlling, and completing of individual programmes of work.
Recognised as a 'Subject Matter Expert' advising high profile client organisations on best practice delivery of FM services through in-house and contracted providers.
As one of our client's recycling and waste SME's you'll be independently benchmarking client services following our client's structured review process, and advising on areas, such as:- the latest innovations
- carbon and social impact
- legislative compliance
- commercial contract agreements
- general market trends, etc.
Working as part of our client's team you could be supporting recycling and waste projects on blue chip client sites, such as Canary Wharf, BBC, HMRC, Bloomberg, Microsoft, St Barts NHS, The Crown Estate, The University of Oxford, Motorola, and many more.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Onsite visits to client sites to conduct methodical evaluations, visual observations, and stakeholder engagement in line with project requirements
- Writing detailed, accurate and informative reports and supporting documents / presentations / project updates, using MS Office Word / Excel / PowerPoint, a combination of these, or our client's bespoke reporting system
- Overseeing all aspects of project delivery from order acceptance to order completion by developing, scheduling, and managing detailed work plans and onsite visits via Monday dot com
- Making sure projects deliver the expected outcomes and benefits to the client utilising industry best practice techniques and standards throughout the entire project execution
- Supporting the development of systems and processes that deliver consistent quality outcomes
- Encouraging positive interaction between all members of the project team
- Building strong, influential, and collaborative client relationships with key stakeholders at all levels, includes providing project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders, inc. presentations, phone calls, other methods
- Interpreting and analysing data to provide accurate reports and recommendations
- Conducting productive site visits, maintaining company values, and expected behaviours, at all times
- Identifying opportunities (inc. additional services) and being responsible for helping business development team convert them
Additional Duties and Responsibilities
- Occasionally, when required, hours over and above standard will be expected. This might include early starts, later evenings, or (mínimally) weekends, e.g for travel to and from site and / or specific project actions
- Making travel and accommodation arrangements where necessary
- Representing the organisation at networking events, via trade associations and trade shows etc.

Qualifications/Role Requirements/Knowledge (Essential)
- Proven track record in an equivalent consultancy role, or
- Experience in the management of FM services (as job title) across a range of sites and sectors
- Strong knowledge of, and experience with, Microsoft Excel, Word, Teams, and PowerPoint
- Strong knowledge of, and experience of using tablets (iPad)
- Strong familiarity with project management software, methodology and best practices
Qualifications/Role Requirements/Knowledge (Desirable)
- Project management professional certification preferred
- Active involvement in appropriate professional associations
- Knowledge of tabletbased auditing apps (e.g., iAuditor)
