Our client, a high-tech engineering business in South Yorkshire, seek to appoint a Field Sales Manager.

Reporting to the Managing Director the appointed Field Sales Manager will identify new business opportunities and new customers with the end goal of passingthese accounts onto the technical consultants to advice on the solution that best suits the customers needs.

We need a Field Sales Manager who can get the technical consultants in front of the right people in order to sell their solution to them.

It is importantyou have experience selling a technology focused product or software solution in the past.

Field Sales Manager - Role and Responsibilities - Business Development Manager / BDM / External Sales / Software / Engineering / Sales

Establish relationships with prospective customers
Conduct extensive market research and convert leads into opportunities
Maintain Customer Relationship Management database accurately and in a timely manner and produce a monthly sales report
Promote and develop corporate image and reputation and contribute to overall business development plan
Maintain extensive knowledge of current market conditions and provide the Managing Director with market activity feedback

Field Sales Manager - Skills and Abilities - Business Development Manager / BDM / External Sales / Software / Engineering / Sales

Degree qualified (or equivalent)
Experience selling technology focused products (Industry 4.0)
Excellent proposal presentation skills
Confident working in an autonomous role (you'll get supported but will be relied on to be the selfstarter the team needs)
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact with customers and colleagues at all levels
