NORTH WEST TEACHING HOSPITAL - CONSULTANT HAEMATOLOGY VACANCY

We have been appointed by a renowned Teaching Hospital in the North West to help recruit a Consultant Haematologist for either a Substantive or a 12 month NHS Fixed Term contract.

This Trust provides services to 440,000 residents as well as specialist tertiary services in haematology, cystic fibrosis, cardiology and cardiothoracic surgery.

The appointment of a Consultant is to help the development of a new collaborative service between two NHS Trusts. The service will have a population of 700,000 and will provide a full range of level 1-3 services.

Intensive treatment of acute leukaemia and autologous stem cell transplantation is undertaken near by in a JACIE accredited unit for a wider population of 1.6million people.

Our client has a highly active lymphoma programme, including treatment of Burkitt's lymphoma and relapsed high lymphomas.

Our client has performed induction chemotherapy for 40 acute leukaemia patients and undertook 42 autologous stem cell transplants in 2017 and is a recruiter to the AML 18 and 19 trials.
