Head of Finance - Leeds - Competitive salary & package

Chase & Holland are excited to be exclusively partnering with one of the UKs largest within their sector, PE backed companies to recruit a hands-on Head of Finance due to rapid growth.

This is an exceptional opportunity to be part of the management team, playing a pivotal role in the next phase of growth for the business as it works to implement a recently set five-year strategic plan.

As Head of Finance, you will take responsibility for the finance function, providing meaningful commercial insight and challenge to improve business performance.

You will have a broad financial experience, not just compliance activities but also demonstratable ability to add value to the bottom line and improve operational activities.

Key Head of Finance Responsibilities:

Assist with developing the longterm strategy and business plan
Improve variance and MI reporting
Monthly Board Meeting attendance to provide input on the financial performance of the business and progress against Strategic Objectives
Ensure appropriate financial controls are in place to provide appropriate governance within the business
Capex management
Produce management information, including monthly management accounts, board pack and other KPI information as required
Lead the finance team in the preparation of annual statutory accounts for audit, produce quarterly VAT returns etc
Main point of contact for external stakeholders including banks, auditors and HMRC
Management and development of a small team

Required Skills & Experience:

Qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA although strong QBE will be considered
Strong experience within a similar senior role with broad financial experience
Continuous improvement mentality and ability to drive change, working with the wider business
Ability to engage and influence at all levels
A thorough understanding of financial accounts and good communication skills are essential
Advanced Excel and IT skills
