Description

We are seeking a confident, flexible, self-motivated and professional full-time Administrative Assistant to provide support to our Family team based in Putney.


This is a fantastic opportunity to be involved in the growth of a busy team which undertakes varied and interesting work.

The work will include but is not limited to:

  • Working with our existing Administrative Assistant and other members of support staff to provide proactive support to the team in providing exceptional service and experience to all clients, prospective clients and third parties.
  • Responsibility for the administrative processes for the team and assisting fee earners to ensure the compliance with firmwide policies and processes.
  • Proactive diary management for the team.
  • Act as liaison between the team and the business support groups across the firm.
  • Assisting with fee earner compliance with all relevant risk management requirements on file opening and closing, including records of conflict checking, antimoney laundering checks, client care letters/terms and conditions and large value retainers.
  • Following the Firm's physical and electronic file opening and archiving procedures.
  • Assisting with the production of documents and maintaining client files.
  • Assisting fee earners with the progression of cases via the online court portal.
  • Assisting with monthly client billing procedures.
  • Responsibility for the preparation of bundles for use in Court proceedings and liaising when necessary with the Court and Counsel.

Technical skills and expertise

  • An enthusiastic and energetic person who is prepared to really contribute their efforts to, and will work well within, a close team
  • Great attention to detail with the ability to proof read and check outgoing communications when required.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, whilst working to deadlines with limited supervision
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, able to develop good working relationships with clients and third parties.
  • Strong literacy and numeracy skills
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft Outlook (advanced), Microsoft Word (advanced), Microsoft Excel (intermediate) and PowerPoint (basic).
  • Ability to accurately and quickly enter electronic data and willingness to learn how to operate the Firm's Client Management System (training will be provided).
