Senior Sustainability Consultant - LCA

A leading, international, multi-disciplinary practice is looking for a Senior Sustainability Consultant, focusing on Life Cycle Assessments (LCA), to join their growing Farnborough Sustainability team.
In this role, you will be responsible for providing sustainable design expertise in relation to circular economy and life cycle analysis (embodied carbon assessments) for, infrastructure, new build, fit out and refurbishment projects for the public and private sector, as well as contributing to research and development.
They are looking to expand their team of passionate, industry leading experts as they aim to improve the built environment sector and meet their challenging carbon targets.
They provide holistic carbon reduction solutions and are at the forefront of delivering low carbon buildings and providing carbon reduction advice to their clients and industry.
For this role, they are looking for someone with a passion for and experience in developing LCA strategies from the earliest stages of a project to completion and helping make real word carbon reduction on the projects you work on.
You will be an enthusiastic individual with a keen interest in sustainability and hold basic understanding of the impacts of buildings on aspects such as climate change and carbon reduction strategies to help meet their net zero carbon goals.
For this role you will:
- Proven experience in undertaking LCAs for a Senior role.
- An appropriate degree.
- A building sustainability/materials related MSc is desirable.
- Carrying out Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) using accredited databases and tools for buildings/ infrastructure projects and knowledge of tools such as etool and/or Oneclick LCA.
- An understanding and delivery of LCA reporting to the London Plan GLA standards.
- An understanding and experience of delivering reviews and reporting against the BREEAM Mat 01 standards.
- Knowledge of the RICS methodology for embodied carbon.
- Experience in delivering Circular Economy principles and reporting is also desirable.
In this role you will:
- Contribute to reviewing and improving their Sustainable development framework goals as part of a wider team.
- Help clients reduce their carbon emissions, managing workload and meeting project deadlines.
- Report writing experience and communication / data visualisation skills for clients and internal teams.
- Work as part of a passionate sustainability specialist team.
- Have opportunities to work on wider suitability aspects of projects.
