GENERAL SUMMARY


Working as part of the planning team, the primary role of the Test & Assembly Work Centre Scheduler is to plan and prepare production schedules for multiple work centres for our test and assembly cells.

This role involves the analysis and SAP administration of large volumes of data from various sources, SAP, Assembly & Test Plan, WIP reports and Material Supply Reports.


PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)

  • Plan & prepare production schedules for the test and assembly cells. Utilizing various SAP system reports/transactions to ensure SAP generated schedules are aligned with both material and capacity constraints in line with Contractual Delivery requirements and escalating exceptions which do not meet contract delivery.
  • Update SAP CM01 work centers to mirror schedules published for each manufacture cell and allocated work centers for as far as the SAP demand planning horizon is loaded. (I.e levels work centers).
  • Convert planned orders and print route card document packs, making sure to align with material delivery dates. Highlighting any material shortages to the procurement team and the AOT team.
  • Expedite closure and close out transaction for all allocated NCRs utilizing SAP QM transactions. Escalate delays in process affecting schedule completion. (As per QMS & NCR Swimlanes).
  • Expedite operations that delay schedules & alters schedules to meet unforeseen circumstances.
  • Work closely with cell leads to ensure that system accuracy for SAP compliance with physical contract status for all key metrics. Partial and confirmed status. Production order WIP levels and production order Delivered to stock.
  • Support Subcontract process management
  • Liaise with Assembly cell lead & Test Shop Manager on holidays/absence/breakdowns to plan available future capacity.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders. Assembly Cell-Leader, Test shop manager, Operations Manager, Projects team, procurement and assembly Planners.
  • Maintain KPIs assigned by Master Scheduler.

EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Exceptional time management and mutitasking skills.
  • It is advantageous that the role holder has strong knowledge of SAP, planning software and Microsoft Excel as this will be used daily.
  • Possess good numeracy skills and have a high level of attention to detail.
  • Good Interpersonal, communication and influencing skills.
  • An active and valuable team participant who puts team success before individual success.
  • An Understanding of MRP, BOMS, NCRS & Inventory management.

OBJECTIVES & MEASUREMENTS

  • Support Schedule Attainment >90% on a weekly basis.
  • Ensure SAP dates are accurate >85% +accurate.
