MAINTENANCE PERSON

We're looking for an outstanding Maintenance Person to join our Team

About the Role

Working together with - and directed by - the Home Manager, our Maintenance people are the heart of our homes.

By helping us to ensure the safety and maintenance of our care facility. You'll enhance every day for our residents. And like us, you'll always want to do the best you can and constantly look for ways to improve.

You will:

Provide routine maintenance services to the home under the direction of the home Manager and Regional Estates Manager.
Maintain the smooth running of all equipment, building and facilities to ensure the home runs to the highest quality standards.
Maintain a high standard relating to the upkeep on the inner and outer buildings by undertaking general repairs, decoration and maintenance duties where required.
Check the maintenance request book for tasks to be completed. Set priorities with the Home Manager.
Be aware of fire procedures and regulations, to test the fire alarm weekly and maintain the appropriate records. To be involved in staff training relating to fire evacuation areas, holding zones and emergency procedures.
Check and record water temperatures weekly, completing all relevant documentation and reporting any abnormalities to the Home Manager.
Ensure that all equipment, lighting and facilities in the home are operating effectively.
Maintain the garden area and keep in good repair and weed free.
Be aware of Health and Safety, COSHH regulations and other relevant legislation and ensure it is adhered to at all times.
Assist with transportation and storage of deliveries to and from the home.
Liaise with trades and contractors working in the home.
To undertake any other duties which may reasonably be required.
