In addition MPFT has a number community premises within the Staffordshire area which will also need advice and support. Theremay be occasional support required at premises in Shropshire.The main duties are;
- Undertaking of Fire Risk Assessments
- Delivery of fire safety training
- Supporting Ward Managers with fire drills
- Giving appropriate fire safety advice

The post-holder will part of the Fire Safety Team that are responsible for advising the Trust, Directorate and Department Managers on fire safety issues and co-ordinating Fire Safety across the Trust and its Partners.
A service will be provided to all Trust premises within Staffordshire and Shropshire and a service may also be provided to other organisations as part of any Service Level Contract between the Trust and its partners.
MainResponsibilities:
- Work closely with all teams and others in the identification and assessment of fire risks in healthcare premises, using the techniques of Fire Code and relevant Health Technical Memorandums (HTM's) and assisting with reports to management, recommending prioritised actions in respect of fire safety improvements.
- Prepare and deliver training programmes for all staff employed in NHS premises.
- Support Ward Managers in the carrying out of regular fire drills and staff training, witnessing the effectiveness of the fire drills and recommending remedial action when necessary.
- Provide advice and education to all levels of staff along with training department staff.
