Are you a passionate Psychology Graduate looking to kick-start your career in education? Tradewind Education, a leading teaching recruitment agency, is currently seeking dedicated individuals to work as Teaching Assistants in SEND and alternative provision schools across Lancashire.


Position:
Teaching Assistant (Psychology Graduate)


Locations:
Preston, Leyland, Chorley, Wigan, and Leigh

Pay Rate:
£76 - £96 per day

Start Date:
ASAP or from September 2023

The Role:


As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and those attending alternative provision schools with social, emotional, mental health (SEMH) and behaviour needs.

Working alongside experienced teachers and professionals, you will have the chance to make a positive impact on the lives of these students and contribute to their academic and personal development.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide onetoone or small group support to students with SEND
  • Assist with planning and implementing tailored educational activities
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Help students overcome barriers to learning and promote independence
  • Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to meet individual needs
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to the teaching team

Requirements:


  • A minimum of a Psychology Graduate degree
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Empathy and understanding towards students with SEND
  • Patience, resilience, and the ability to adapt to varying situations
  • A genuine passion for making a difference in the lives of young people
