ARBORICULTURAL ASSISTANT/TRAINEE CONSULTANT - £24,000- £30,000

You will be part of a dedicated and experienced team aiming to keep at the forefront of the arboricultural industry through an on-going review and development program, taking on board the opinions of all those involved with and affected by trees.

Each member of our team, be they a consultant, tree surveyor, CAD specialist or member of our administration, is committed to providing our clients with a bespoke personal service befitting their particular project, whether that is work for a small private client or a much larger corporation.

Job Summary

• BS5837 Surveys,
• Health and Safety Surveys,
• Subsidence Assessments,
• Detailed tree inspections with Picus and Resistograph,
• Site monitoring and management.

Minimum requirements

Applicants should possess a sound level of arboricultural knowledge though a combination of academic qualification and practical experience in the arboricultural industry.

Previous experience of tree condition surveying, report writing, preparation of BS5837 tree surveys and familiarity with development surveys would be helpful although not essential.

You should have an understanding of tree legislation in relation to Tree Preservation Orders and Conservation Areas. IT skills should include Microsoft Office and ideally an understanding of AutoCAD although this is not essential.

Full Driving License is required.


Preferred Qualifications

Qualifications should include a minimum Level 3-4 (Arboricultural Qualification ABC level 4 award, certificate and diploma in arboriculture) and evidence of recent CPD within the arboricultural industry.

Ideally they should also have one of the following:

• LANTRA Professional Tree Inspector Certificate (desirable)
• Professional member of the Arboriculture Association, International Society of Arboriculture or the Institute of Chartered Foresters or actively working towards these accreditations.
