If so, we have an exciting opportunity for a Primary School Teaching Assistant to join our team providing full time and part time teaching assistant cover to primary schools across the Maidstone area.

Simply Education offer free CPD to all teaching assistants who register with us.


Position:
Primary School Teaching Assistant


Location:
Maidstone


Contract:
Full-time


Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the teaching staff to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment

Support the teacher in delivering engaging lessons and assisting with classroom management

Provide one-on-one or small group support to students who require additional assistance

Help to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) as necessary

Assist with the preparation of teaching materials and resources

Supervise and facilitate activities during break times and outings

Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and fellow staff members


Requirements:

Relevant experience working with primary school-aged children

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to build rapport with students and establish a supportive learning environment

Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping young learners succeed

Flexibility to adapt to the needs of the students and the school

Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and a commitment to promoting the welfare of children
