Passive fire protection surveyor
Based on site and at our office, this role reports to the Survey Manager.

We are looking for a Surveyor to work full-time (between the hours of 8 am and 5 pm, Monday - Friday).

• Responsibilities_: Carrying out fire compartmentation and fire door surveys at commercial and domestic buildings to identify defects in accordance with regulations, manufacturers' tested details and installation guidance. Recording and reviewing surveys on designated electronic recording software. Recommending required remedial works, based on approved repair techniques, suitable tested details and installation guidance. Liaising with commercial / estimation departments to provide detailed information from survey findings to assist with producing quotations for required remedial works. Reviewing buildings' existing O&M information, fire strategy documents and drawings to establish required periods of fire resistance, and outline areas which do not meet the requirements.
• Experience_: Previous passive fire protection experience and knowledge of installation techniques, best practices and legislative requirements. Experience using electronic recording software and good IT skills are essential. Experience of both fire compartmentation and fire door inspections would be advantageous, but training and support will be provided.

Please note this role is split between our office and client sites - a driver's licence is essential, and overnight stays may be required.

A recent DBS certificate or willingness to obtain one is required.

This role is offered on a subcontractor (freelance) basis.
