Altum Consulting are partnering with a distinctive and established British business who is looking to expand their already successful People and Organisation consulting practice.


Key responsibilities:


  • Provide tangible leadership for People and Organisation project teams, setting client goals, progress and direction.
  • Manage team performance and growth, ensuring performance objectives are set, expectations are clear.
  • Provide support and development opportunities through assignment of work and stretching tasks, ensuring a culture of feedback and growth across the team.
  • Acts as a role model for junior/senior consultants, creating a climate of trust, openness and a culture of recognition.
  • Contribute to the growth of the People and Change community by building technical and specialist skills through development programmes and recruitment support.
  • Lead the development of new methodologies, tools, thought leadership papers, and the People and Change community of practice and Operations Consulting skills network.
  • Contribute to the group's growth by proactively seeking business development opportunities building new and expanding existing client portfolio.
  • Manage and monitor project commercials ensuring each project delivers within scope, and to agreed commercial metrics.
  • Establish most senior client relationships, deriving joint understanding of goals, and creating tailored communications plans
  • Draw on relevant theories, evidencebased practice to lead the design and delivery of organisational diagnostics workshops.
  • Draw on best practice people and change diagnostic and improvement tools and theories to deliver on two or more of the following technical areas (team effectiveness & collaboration, leadership & capability, culture & organisational change, operating model & organisation development).
  • Review reports and advise client's organisational behaviour and cultural landscape.
  • Lead a team of consultants in the development and delivery of endend transformational programmes.
  • Contribute to the development of methodologies, tools, thought leadership papers and the People & Change community of practice and Operations Consulting skills network.

Education and experience:


  • Typically, a first degree and/or extensive experience in people and change consulting and/or a Master's degree in the behavioural or management sciences field, e.g. occupational psychology, organisational behaviour, organisational design, MBA
  • Typically, 7+ years of experience in a consulting or inhouse environment

Key capabilities:


  • MUST HAVE experience in operating model & organisation development, culture & organisational change and ideally leadership & capability.
  • Strong commercial acumen
  • Project management and delivery skills, including financial and risk management
  • Capability in developing business proposals for clients, by understanding client requirements and drawing together expertise from across a multidisciplinary firm
  • Ability to work collaboratively with clients and multidisciplinary teams to help shape and deliver the best solution
  • Ability to demonstrate a methodological and creative approach to decisionmaking even in an ambiguous environment
  • A collaborative style of working that fosters innovation and team working
  • Experienced facilitator, and stakeholder manager comfortable working with groups including senior management cohorts

Desired:


  • Experience in organizational readiness (research methodologies, job analysis, selection and assessment, training needs analysis, training design and delivery, project management)
  • Experience in one or more of the following markets: Manufacturing, Rail, Highways, Energy, Aviation and/or Water
