Class 1 HGV Driver (Walking Floor & Ejector Trailer)

Schedule:
Dayshift, starting at 06:30 AM, averaging 10-11 hours per day with occasional overnights.

Who specialize in the recycling of various materials, including contaminated timber and building site waste, contributing to a sustainable future.

Responsibilities:

Safely operate Class 1 HGV vehicles equipped with walking floor and/or ejector trailers.
Transport recyclable materials, including contaminated timber and building site waste, to designated locations.
Adhere to all relevant safety procedures and regulations during loading, transport, and unloading processes.
Conduct pretrip and posttrip inspections to ensure the mechanical soundness of the vehicle.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and hours worked.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers, colleagues, and clients to ensure smooth operations.
Perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks and report any mechanical issues promptly.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the vehicle and workspace.

Qualifications:

Valid Class 1 HGV license with CPC qualification.
Proven experience operating walking floor and/or ejector trailers preferred.
Solid understanding of relevant safety regulations and procedures.
Excellent driving record with no major violations.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Flexibility to work occasional overnights as required.
Physical fitness to handle loading and unloading tasks as needed.
