Liability Claims Handler - UK remote up to £33k per annum


An International Global Loss Adjusting organisation are now seeking several experienced Liability Claims Handlers with varied Liability experience to join their Technical Liability team, it is an exciting time to join as you will be part of their growth plan offering opportunities to progress long-term.

As an experienced Liability Claims Handler, you will carry out investigations, assess liability and quantum through to settlement on a cradle to grave basis.

The Liability team handle EL/PL, Third Party Property Damage, Products and Disease Claims. There are roles to suit individuals who have experience in all classes or Disease only.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Receive instructions from the client
  • Conduct Investigations undertaken from the desk to form a substantiated view on both policy and legal liability matters pertinent to civil claims
  • Assess allegations made against the clients and their Insured's and to provide advice and assistance regarding the claims procedure to enable a view to be reached on likely policy and/or legal liability
  • Ensure all contact with parties involved in the claims process is made within SLA's
  • Gather all relevant information/evidence i.e., photographs, statements and documentation
  • To undertake litigation management
  • Assist in the implementation of relevant fraud detection investigations and to facilitate the handling of all claims from end to end

Applicant Requirements:


About you:


  • Liability claims handling experience (EL/PL, Third Party Property Damage or Disease or a mixture of all)
  • Good understanding of insurance law/policy interpretation
  • Excellent understanding of contract, statute and tort law
  • Claims Investigation skills
  • Experience of interfacing with corporate clients desirable
  • Cooperates and works well with others in the pursuit of team goals
  • Able to influence attitudes and opinions of others and gain agreement to proposals, plans and ideas
  • The ability to listen and respond to people effectively
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Able to provide a prompt, efficient and a personalised service to customers (external and internal)

Hours are Monday to Friday 35 hours per week.
