Scope of Role
:
To deliver the effective operation of the Stores, despatch, and receipt areas of the department. To support the Customer Services Department to deliver excellent Customer Service.

Main Duties/Responsibilities
:
To work as part of the Stores Team, ensuring the effective, speedy, and accurate receipt and despatch of goods and services by carrying out, although not limited to, the following tasks.
- The receipt and unpacking of goods received into Stores in a structured way.
- Record on computer or otherwise receipt and despatch of goods and services, including data in an accurate and timely fashion.
- Check accuracy of all received and despatched goods and services, including associated paperwork.
- To ensure that all Units/Spares/Data are booked in on the day of arrival.
- To pack goods for despatch in accordance with correct procedures.
- Carry out organising and arranging shipping of domestic and overseas goods using various carriers and forwarders.
- To undertake regular stock checks/audits and resolve discrepancies.
- To liaise with Customer Services to resolve any booking in or shipping issues.
- To answer and resolve general customer enquiries.
- Ensure the stores area is clean and tidy and complies with Health & Safety requirements.
- Keep abreast of current working practices operated by the company and approving bodies.
- Work as part of the Stores Team, to act in a professional and constructive manner.
Other Responsibilities/Non-essential Functions
:
- Undertake training that is identified as a requirement of the role as identified by the role Manager.
- Undertake all other reasonable requests that are made by the role manager/acting manager or Directors.
- At times of reduced department staff attendance there will be a need to be flexible and provide support outside of the normal tasks of the job to ensure customer satisfaction.
- On occasion you maybe required to take on ad hoc duties which includes, but is not limited to training, department associated tasks and brief secondment to other departments.

ESSENTIAL:
- PC Literate
- Experience of working in Warehouse or Stores Goods In and/or Goods Out environment
- Computerised Stock Systems.
- Delicate Material Handling Skills.
- Inspection Skills.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items safely.
- Good written and spoken English.
- Methodical / Logical.
- Good time management.
- Team Player.
- Self-Motivated.
- Handles pressure and targets well.
- Flexible attitude.
DESIREABLE:
- Experience of using Quantum Software
- Knowledge of domestic and overseas shipping
- Experience of working in an aviation or aerospace industry.
- Dangerous Goods management
