Due to unprecedented demand for our services, Oxford Fire and Flood are looking for a full time operative to join our disaster restoration team.
Oxford Fire and Flood are based in Middle Aston, nr Bicester in Oxfordshire and are part of a nationwide network of franchises providing a complete fire and flood restoration service.
Working closely with insurance companies, loss adjustors and the insured to organise a suitable recovery plan to ensure the property is restored to the very highest standards.
Removals and Cleaning operative role:
- Your role will involve attending both private and commercial properties that have been affected by fire or flood damage. You will assist the team to restore properties with the aim of getting customers back into their homes or businesses as soon as possible.
As part of the role you will:
- Attend fire damaged properties to clean and remove fire residue, restoring a property to its preincident condition
- Attend water damaged properties to carry out damage limitation work such as extracting standing water, removing carpets/flooring where necessary
- Carpet and upholstery cleaning training provided
- Removing contents from properties with the utmost care and respect ensuring they are adequately wrapped and protected.
- Work on and clean damaged contents and items both on site and in plant
- Respect our customers while working in their homes or business
Our office unit is based in Middle Aston but the role will require extensive travel around the Thames Valley and surrounding areas.
Skills and qualifications:
- Excellent communication skills
- Good telephone manner
- Computer Literate
- Good command of English and Maths
- Car driver with full clean driving license.
- You must be reliable, punctual, enthusiastic, hard working and well organised.
- Have the ability to work well within a team as well as with a variety of customers.
Salary and Benefits:
- Salary £22,000 per annum.
- 28 days holiday including bank holidays plus an extra day for your birthday and rising an extra day each year of service to a maximum of 5 additional days.
- Paid overtime available
- Uniform, and PPE provided.
The working hours are Monday to Friday with occasional overtime available and you must be flexible to attend weekend call outs as part of an on-call rota.
