About the Role and About Us


Based in the Together for Families Directorate, the Business Systems team provide technical support to users of the Directorate's case management systems, which include Mosaic, Synergy and Core+.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated person to support this team to help meet the Directorate's priorities and objectives.

This essential role supports both the system user and, in turn, the accurate extraction of data to meet key performance indicators, by workflow and form design.


Main tasks and responsibilities will include:

  • Undertaking work relating to the maintenance of the system(s), including configuration linked with the creation of new workflow processes and the reviewing and updating of current processes and recording;
  • Supporting the testing and upgrades of the Mosaic case management system in liaison with the Business Systems Team Manager;
  • Supporting the Business Systems Team Manager with change control processes to ensure robust and secure system management;
  • Ensuring quality control and the maintenance of agreed standards in respect of system configuration/change tasks;
  • Production and maintenance of guidance notes, standards' documentation and procedures relating to the Directorate's ICT systems;
  • Planning and leading user acceptance sessions; demonstrating updated system configuration and documenting decisions.

About You

  • Educated to HNC/NVQ Level 4 standard, or have an equivalent level of experience in a relevant technological and/or analytical role.
  • You will be selfmotivated in your approach to work, have excellent communication and problem solving skills with the ability to manage a varied workload.
  • Having good analytical skills and the ability to produce accurate work in a timely manner, with the confidence to lead user acceptance meetings and attend business requirements meetings in order to gain approval from Managers to system changes.
  • Previous experience of project work, good organisational and time management skills are important within this position, alongside the desire to make continuous improvement for the Directorate.
  • You will have good experience of a range of IT systems, preferably in a case management/workflow based systems. Experience of using HTML and Javascript would be beneficial to support the production of dynamic forms.


The Business Systems Support Team members primarily work from home but there is the option to work from any one of the main office bases in Camborne, Truro or Bodmin if this is preferred.

Staff who work from home are provided with all necessary equipment. We are open to a discussion about flexible working.
