We currently have a great opportunity for a talented Programme Support Officer to support our ongoing works and the delivery of our fantastic new - Emergency Department (ED)/Acute Assessment Unit (AAU) Programme.


Important NOTES:


  • This will be a fixed term contract that expires on 31stDecember 2023.


With a significant capital investment programme, we require a highly motivated Programme Support Officer to join our Capital Projects Team on a fixed term basis.

To ensure effective programme administrative support. The successful applicant will have experience in supporting the delivery of such projects.


The role will also involve providing, collation of financial information, assistance with the implementation of policies, collation of relevant updated information to ensure communications are circulated, assist with the completion of incident reporting and support the onsite implementation of plans while working with contractors in support of programme millstones.

Applicants are requested to demonstrate their knowledge and experience in these key areas.

The post holder will provide day-to-day support to the Programme Team, Senior Project Manager,
Project Coordinator and Programme Director. Working within the Programme's clearly defined objectives the post holder will support the team responsible for the effective delivery of the ED/AAU programme and supporting administration services and systems

  • To ensure effective programme administrative support
  • To assist the Senior Project Manager and Project Coordinators in the delivery of programme plans making available sufficient capacity to meet anticipated demand and ensure activity and
programme objectives are met.

This will include the management of contract and design information requiring the use of a range of computer software packages to produce reports.


  • To ensure the analysis of data for management reports is produced for the Programme Management team and support the Senior Project Manager and Project Coordinators in acting on information/reports.
  • To support the effective onsite implementation of plans, working with contractors in support of programme milestones.
  • To work with Information Services colleagues to ensure robust validation processes are in place, with responsibility for maintaining the Programme's database and associated performance information system tracking the Programme's Critical Success Factors.
  • To undertake the completion of incident reporting.
  • Ensure risks and escalations are correctly logged and acted upon/escalated through the programme governance process
  • To be able to deal with staff, patient/relative and clinician complaints appropriately, relaying often complex information in a manner that can be understood with sensitivity, tact and diplomacy.
  • To implement policies and propose changes to practices and procedures for own area.
  • Responsible for ordering stock/stationery. Authorised signatory for small financial payments, including travel expenses and agency and staff time sheets.
  • To deputise for the Senior Project Manager/Project Coordinators attending meetings as required
