Position Summary:


As a Customer Services Advisor, you'd play a key role from initial point of contact and placing of orders, through to the aftersales service, ensuring the experience is exceptional throughout the entire process.


This is an ideal opportunity for an outgoing individual with good attention to detail to gain new work experience, or deepen their customer services experience in a different industry.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Provide a friendly service to customers and manage their expectations
  • Manage processes such as: customer quotations, proformas, stock returns, new account creation, database management and aftersales care
  • Effectively provide the customer with answers for/of any order queries or offering solutions to the queries.
  • Manage nontechnical complaints
  • Ensure customer database is regularly updated and all information logged.
  • Work with internal sales teams to maximize communication and improve efficiencies within teams to ensure high levels of customer service.
  • Provide cover to reception as necessary

Education and Experience:


  • GCSE or equivalent education passes in English and Maths.
  • Any experience of working in a customer focused environment.
  • Computer literacy, particularly in Outlook and Office Suit
  • A scientific background is NOT required for this role

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:


  • Passion for communication and science
  • Excellent telephone manner.
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • German language skill is preferred but not essential
  • Additional language skills are advantageous but not required
  • Ability to perform a wide variety of tasks and multitask efficiently.
  • Able to work onsite in Abingdon 5 days per week
