A well-known crisis supporting charity are looking for a Project Accountant to join their finance team based in Central London on a 3-month basis with a possibility of a contract extension.

The role presents a great opportunity to build on your experienceand knowledge within a friendly organisation.

The role will pay up to £42,000 and will be expected to work 4 days a week in their London office.


As the project accountant your role will involve:

  • Supporting budget holders by monitoring actuals against budgets, service plans and forecasts.
  • Working closely with service managers to put bids together and to understand the proposal of what they plan to do
  • Reviewing grant agreements and contracts to flag up any challenges and review variance investigations
  • Producing multiyear financial projections, annual budgets and inyear forecasts

The Ideal Project Accountant will:


  • Have experience in restricted funds, donor funding or partial exemption VAT
  • Experience working on the charity or notforprofit sectors
  • Management accounting and financial accounting experience
  • Part qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA, ICAEW or equivalent)
  • Desirable but not essential experience of MS Dynamic Great Plain
  • Great technical accounting and analytical skills
  • Good attention to detail
