Infrastructure Manager - Manchester

Our successful client based in Manchester is currently looking for an Infrastructure Manager, responsible for leading the current infrastructure team.

Your technical depth and expertise will be a major success factor in your ability to deliver a stable operationsand services.

You will be honing your coaching skills by directing a technical team who will learn from you and your vendor management skills by ensuring that our direct and indirect 3rd parties are working in unison as part of an extension of your team.

A fresh and unique approach to delivering IT infrastructure services is encouraged and whilst you have a solid base on premisses infrastructure, you also know when to turn to cloud solutions.


Responsibilities:


  • Act as an ambassador for IT, working across the departments to provide effective infrastructure solutions.
  • Lead and coach the technical team.
  • You will own the computing technology stack, where you will be able to deliver improved stability of the environment and reduced outages.
  • You will identify and establish opportunities to move some elements to the Cloud
  • You will ensure that our network is resilient, and its capacity is fit for purpose
  • You will be an escalation point for any Security and Operation activities
  • You will be part of the Major Incident Management team, where you would own the incident management resolution process during a major incident until the restoration of the service
  • You will work with our 3rd party to ensure the bank service and platform availability.

  • Passion for technology and the value it brings to a business
  • You are proactive and want to deliver bestinclass infrastructure services
  • You have good technical knowledge in virtualisation and storage as well as a keen interest in cloud technologies.
  • You are selfmotivated and have a strong sense of ownership
  • You are experienced in managing 3rd parties and vendors
  • You are flexible to support outofhours changes and incidents
  • ITIL, AWS
